How to Apply and Remove Finger Nail Wraps
Nail wraps add a little pizzazz to your look while offering the added bonus of being more durable than traditional nail polish. They’re also more cost-effective than a full manicure at a salon. In addition to a good base coat, you should always re-apply a top coat over your wraps to keep them looking glossy and fresh. When finger nail wraps, be sure your nails are clean and dry, and that your cuticles and skin are free of oils or other debris. It’s also recommended that you reapply a cuticle oil or hand cream (like 2019 Allure Best of Beauty winner Love Beauty Planet) to help keep your hands and nails hydrated, so they don’t pull at the wraps as you’re peeling them off.
Finger Nail Wraps
After selecting the right nail wrap size for your nails, remove the clear plastic film and then carefully peal off the nail strip. You may want to use a pair of tweezers to gently stretch and place the wrap on your nail, being careful not to touch the adhesive to your skin or cuticles. If your nail wrap is too long, you can trim it using a pair of mini-scissors or clippers, making sure to leave a bit of room at the tip.
You can apply nail wraps on their own, or over gel polish or acrylics. Removing them is simple and similar to removing regular nail polish — simply use a cotton pad soaked in acetone and gently wipe over each finger, starting at the cuticle and moving towards the tip.
